Ashridge Woods [Hertfordshire, England, UK]
Most of the scenes filmed here are of those in which Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George and Arthur Weasely are walking to the Quidditch World Cup. This heavily wooded area is located in North Hertfordshire.
Black Rock Gorge [Evanton, Scotland]
This place is used in when scene in GoF where Harry is chased in to a gorge. It is a very deep and narrow 21,000-acre estate that is 125 feet deep, and one mile long.
Beacon Hill [Ivinghoe Hills, near Berkhamsted, England]
This hill was used to film the Portkey scenes. It is a 350 acre grass farm with 40 acres of ancient beech woods and brush, and lies 768 feet above sea level.
Exmoor, Devon [Outside Leavesden Studios, South-west England]
Most of the on-location filming was done here. Exmoor is partially located in Devon (29%) and partially located in Somerset (71%), but the filming was done only in Devon. This place is described as an ancient beautiful and unspoilt landscape with a dramatic coastline and fast flowing rivers.
Glenfinnan Viaduct [Glenfinnan, Scotland]
This place was used to film the scene of the Hogwarts Express travelling over it as it went to Hogwarts. This place lies right above the Loch Shiel, stretching twenty miles south west to Acharacle.
Kings Cross Station
This is the place where the Hogwarts students go to get on the Hogwarts Express.
Leavesden Studios [Leavesden, Watford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom]
This studio is the primary filming location of the Harry Potter movies. All the Great Hall, Quidditch World Cup and Pensieve scenes were filmed here. Leavesden Studios is equipped with a 100 acre back lot to offer a 180 degree uninterrupted horizon and is the UK’s first purpose-built film studio complex. It provides 1.6 million square feet of high quality film studios, office accommodations, and amenities within a 300-acre parkland setting.
Steall Falls, Glen Navis [Fort Williams, Scotland]
Glen Navis was used to film the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. It has dramatic hills, green woodlands, heather moors and magnificent views of sunsets.
The Bodleian Library [Oxford University, United Kingdom]
This library was used for the filming of the Defense Against the Dark Arts scenes in which Mad-Eye Moody turns Draco Malfoy into a ferret. This place was also used when Moody demonstrated the Unforgivable Curses.
Virginia Water Lake [Surrey, England]
Only one scene was filmed here. And it was of a conversation between Harry, Ginny and Hermione. This scene was filmed between the ancient ruins of Virginia Water and its famous waterfall.
Leavesden Studios
Location: Leavesden, Watford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
Information: Leavesden Studios is the primary Harry Potter filming
location. It includes the sets of The Great Hall, The Moving Staircases,
Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, Gryffindor Tower, and Dumbledore’s Office. Scenes
that have been filmed at Leavesden Studios in Goblet of Fire include all
Great Hall scenes, Quidditch World Cup scenes, and Pensieve scenes.

Location: Outside Leavesden Studios, South-west England
Information: Outdoors filming was switched from Glencoe to Exmoor. Most
on-location shooting will be done here. Exmoor is partially located in
Devon (29%), and partially located in Somerset (71%), however filming will
only be taking place in Devon. It is described as an ancient beautiful and
unspoilt landscape with a dramatic coastline and fast flowing rivers.
Glencoe, Scotland
Information: Glencoe will only be used as second-unit filming, due to poor conditions
that affect the filming.
